Spring Is Blooming at Hudson Yards
There are beautiful blossoms all throughout the Public Square & Gardens.
Hooray—spring is here! Make it a point to visit and take a stroll through the Public Square & Gardens, where the rejuvenating colors of the season are sure to brighten your day. The plants have been chosen to attract 225 types of butterflies and other pollinators, many of which are otherwise threatened by habitat loss and climate change. And they are irrigated with collected rainwater, which saves 6.5-megawatt hours of energy each year, while offsetting five tons of greenhouse gas. It’s all part of Hudson Yards’ commitment to sustainability, and a big reason the United States Green Building Council named it the first LEED Gold certified neighborhood in Manhattan.
