The Perfect New York City Holiday at Hudson Yards
Magical happenings and gift-shopping bonuses to make everyone’s season extra special
Ready to be merry? Two million twinkling lights, a forest of 725 evergreens, a 32-foot-tall hot-air balloon and other dazzling displays can mean only one thing: New York’s best new holiday tradition is back! Shine Bright at Hudson Yards presented by Wells Fargo will again be the sparkling backdrop for all festivities and gift-buying jaunts hosted over this season at The Shops, Public Square & Gardens, Edge and Vessel.
Kids will go crazy for the PAW Patrol™ Experience: Only At CAMP (Level 5), the immersive experience that lets little ones play out their rescue-team dreams alongside their favorite pack of adventurous canines in themed environments, games, and activities. Up the escalator on Level 4, Happening Now at Hudson Yards is offering its own family-fun options: puppet shows by WonderSpark Puppets, kids yoga with Yogi Beans, magic shows from the Great Dubini, Mozart for Munchkins and Bingo with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, to name a few.
Don’t miss The Shows Go On at Hudson Yards, in which the top Broadway hits give visitors a glimpse of the energy that is back at the theatres. The casts of Phantom of the Opera, Diana, Dear Evan Hansen, Moulin Rouge and more take over The Stage on Level 4. Similarly, Jazz at Lincoln Center is popping up on the Public Square & Gardens, as Dizzy’s Club presents Wednesdays with Wells Fargo, a series of free performances that you can stream during their live webcasts here in December. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo’s Active Cash℠ Card Chalet, featuring games and other amusements, will be open to all on the Public Square & Gardens.
There’s grownups-only fun too. Starting December 1, adults can get to Santa’s North Pole by exploring six immersive holiday installations along a winding path that ends at the big man’s secret speakeasy Santa's Secret. Visitors will be greeted by live entertainment, holiday cocktails and a mind-blowing variety show.
Of course, shoppers can count on finding help with all those long holiday wish lists. For starters, Hudson Yards’ personal styling team has put together a gift guide to satisfy all ages and budgets. And Visa is giving out an extra treat: a $50 Hudson Yards Visa Gift Card when you spend $250 with a Visa card in the Shops and Restaurants, between now and December 31. Plus, HY+ members earn double points on every purchase each Monday of the holiday season. Just in case you needed another reason to shop in person beyond all those delivery delays.
