Starting today until July 1st, The Great Room of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards will display panels of The AIDS Memorial Quilts, including a new special piece, crafted by Artist and Queer-Art mentee Zoe Schlacter.
Zoe Schlacter (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist and designer living and working in New York City. Through writing, textile making, and performances of personal style, Schlacter’s work creates a queer intersection of textiles, gender, and intimacy. As a Queer-Art mentee, Schlacter was commissioned by Hudson Yards to create a new special piece for The AIDS Memorial Quilts.
